Solomon expands Israel’s territory and fortifies it. The conquered people are sent to slave labor, and Solomon sets the rules in Israel and makes an Egyptian wife his wife. Solomon appoints Levites and gatekeepers to the temple duties, gives the sacrifices on feast days, and occasionally gets gold from sea trading.
