God answers Solomon’s prayers, and the David covenant is reaffirmed conditionally. In return for the supply of cedar and gold, Solomon gives Hiram twenty cities in Galilee. The two kings work together to amass a lot of wealth, and the remaining Canaanites are used as slave labor.
