Moab, which was ruled by Israel since the time of David, rebels after Ahab dies. Ahaziah sends a messenger to the god Baal-Zebub after which Elijah prophesies against him. Two sets of fifty soldiers are consumed by fire after trying to attack Elijah. Another set of soldiers beg for their lives, and Elijah prophesies against Ahaziah, who dies shortly.
