David bore six sons with various wives. Ishbosheth and Abner had a fight after the former accused Abner of taking Rizpah, one of Saul’s concubines. Abner shifts sides and joins David, and returns Michal to David. Abner and David celebrate with a feast, and later Joab murders Abner. Angered, David curses the house of Joab and mourns.
