The angel of the Lord reprimands the Israelites at Bochim for making covenants with the Canaanites. The Israelites repented and offered sacrifices, and after Joshua died at the age of 110, a new generation that didn't know God arose. The Israelites then forsaken God and followed other gods, and as a result, they were defeated in battle by plunderers. God raised judges to deliver them.
