Moses talks with Pharaoh, and a plague of locusts falls upon Egypt. Pharaoh repents, but his heart is hardened when the wind blows the locusts away. Another plague of darkness befalls Egypt and Pharaoh allows the Israelites to go on the condition that they leave their livestock behind. Moses rejects the offer, after which Pharaoh's heart is hardened.
