Judah sleeps with Shuah and gives birth to Er, Onan, and Shelah. Er marries Tamar, and after his death, Onan marries her. Onan spills his seed on the ground, and God kills him. Judah sends Tamar away, but she disguises herself and sleeps with Judah. She bears twins Perez and Zerah.
