Two angels appear to Lot in Sodom, where he invites them as his guests. The inhabitants demand to "know" these guests and refuse Lot's offer of his two virgin daughters. The angels strike them with blindness, and they hurriedly take off. Sodom is destroyed by fire, and Lot's wife is turned into a stone pillar because of looking behind. Lot's daughters had children for him.
